5-Year-Old Trapped in Apartment Lift Dies; Body Removed After Hour-Long Cut

 Navsari (The Uttam Hindu): A very painful and heartbreaking incident has come to light from Navsari district of Gujarat, where a five-year-old innocent child died after getting stuck in the lift of an apartment. After the incident, the fire brigade personnel took out the child by cutting the lift with a cutter after about an hour of effort, but by then it was too late.

This heartbreaking incident took place in Nirav Square Apartment of Bijalpur area of ​​the district. According to the information, the mother had gone out with the child. As soon as the mother started locking the door of the house, the child entered the lift while playing. Before the mother could understand anything, the lift door closed and it started going down from the second floor. During this time, the child got badly stuck in the lift.

As soon as the child got stuck, there was a lot of screaming and the fire department was immediately informed. But negligence was also seen in the rescue work, when the cutter machine of the fire brigade team that reached the spot broke down, which further delayed the rescue operation. After about an hour, somehow the child was taken out by cutting the lift and he was taken to the civil hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.

This incident has raised serious questions on the maintenance and safety measures of the lift in the apartment. Currently, the authorities have started investigating the matter and the angle of technical fault in the lift is also being investigated.
