Member of gangster syndicate: Court sends Anmol Bishnoi to 11-day NIA custody
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) - Delhi's Patiala House Court has remanded gangster Anmol Biswoi to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody for 11 days. The central investigating agency had initially sought 15 days of custody. This court order will provide the NIA with sufficient time to thoroughly investigate the gangster's network, funding chains, and criminal activities originating from abroad.
Let us inform you that on Tuesday, the NIA arrested Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, as soon as he arrived in India after being extradited from the US. Anmol, who was absconding since 2022, had a reward of ₹10 lakh on the NIA's 'Most Wanted' list. He is the 19th accused linked to Lawrence's terror syndicate. An NIA spokesperson said that Anmol was detained upon landing at Delhi airport from Louisiana. The US Homeland Security Department confirmed the deportation by sending an email to Zeeshan Siddiqui, the complainant in the Baba Siddiqui murder case, on Tuesday.
The email read, "Anmol Bishnoi has been deported by the US government. This action occurred on November 18, 2025." Anmol was arrested in November 2024 in Sacramento, California, for illegal entry, where the FBI identified him through DNA and voice samples. A lengthy deportation process followed. In March 2023, the NIA filed a 1,200-page charge sheet against Anmol in the Lawrence Bishnoi-led terror-gangster conspiracy case.
The investigation revealed that between 2020 and 2023, Anmol carried out various terrorist activities in India at the behest of Goldy Brar and Lawrence. He provided instructions to the gang from the United States, providing shelter, weapons, and logistical supplies to the shooters. Anmol, a resident of Fazilka district in Punjab, fled to the United States in April 2022 via Nepal, Dubai, and Kenya on a fake passport.
Anmol's name is linked to several high-profile cases. He was the main conspirator in the October 2024 murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai. According to Zeeshan Siddiqui, Anmol sent Siddiqui's photo and location to the shooters. He also played a role in the firing at Salman Khan's house in April 2024. He is accused of providing weapons and support for the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022. A total of 18 cases have been registered against him, including extortion, murder, and arms trafficking.
