Caught in illicit relationship with nephew, married woman’s husband arranges their marriage

Baghpat (The Uttam Hindu): In Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat district, a woman married her cousin (cousin) in the police station. It is being said that the two had been in a love relationship for a long time. According to the information, the woman is already married and has children. During this time, she became close to her cousin. When the family came to know about their relationship, a dispute started in the house. A few days ago, the family members caught both of them in an objectionable position, after which the matter escalated.

A married woman was having an affair with her nephew; when her husband caught her red-handed, he went to the police station and arranged their marriage: As the dispute escalated, both the parties were taken to the police station. The police spoke to the woman, her husband and other family members including the young man. During the interrogation, the woman refused to live with her husband and expressed her desire to spend her life with the young man. The young man also said that he wanted to live with the woman. According to the police, both are adults and wanted to live together of their own free will. After the legal situation became clear, the necessary process was completed. Later, both of them got married in the police station premises itself.

Following this incident, there is a buzz in the village and surrounding areas. Meanwhile, the police say that under the law, both have the right to live together as they choose, and therefore, action was taken as per the rules.
