New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal slammed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids against former Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, calling it a blatant misuse of central agencies. Kejriwal alleged that the BJP-led central government was trying to suppress the voice of the opposition.

Taking to social media platform ‘X’ on Tuesday, Kejriwal wrote:

"The ED raid at Saurabh Bharadwaj’s house is another case of agency misuse by the government. Never in history has any party been targeted the way AAP is being targeted today. We are being targeted because AAP is the strongest voice against the wrong policies and corruption of this government. These raids will never silence us."

Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia also criticized the move, linking the raid to recent controversies over PM Modi’s degree. He wrote:

"On Monday, the entire country questioned the PM’s degree. To divert attention, ED raids were conducted against Saurabh Bharadwaj. The fact is — when this so-called case pertains to, Saurabh wasn’t even a minister. Just like the fake degree, this case is also fake."

Sisodia also recalled former minister Satyendar Jain’s prolonged imprisonment despite no evidence being found:

"These raids are not about truth; they are about crushing AAP’s honesty."

It is notable that the ED raids on Tuesday morning were connected to the alleged ₹5,590 crore hospital construction scam. The AAP government had approved projects for 24 hospitals in 2018-2019, promising ICU completion within six months. However, years later, the work remains incomplete. Raids were conducted at 13 locations, including Bharadwaj’s residence.
