Junk food addiction leads to fatal gut complication, 16-year-old dies

Amroha (The Uttam Hindu): A heartbreaking example of how dangerous frequent fast food consumption can be has emerged in the case of Amroha student Ahana. According to family members, Ahana's habit of repeatedly eating foods like chow mein, Maggi, pizza, and burgers seriously harmed her health. She underwent treatment after her health suddenly deteriorated, but ultimately died while undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Delhi.

It was reported that Ahana was the youngest daughter of farmer Mansoor Khan, a resident of Mohalla Afghanan in Amroha. The family consists of her mother, Sara Khan, a son, and two daughters. Ahana was a bright student and a Class 11 student at the city's Hashmi Girls Inter College. Family members say she frequently ate outside fast food, and despite repeated warnings, she persisted in this habit.

Severe stomach pain, tests reveal a hole in the intestines

According to family members, Ahana's health began deteriorating in September and she began experiencing severe stomach pain. As the pain worsened, she was admitted to a private hospital in Moradabad on November 30th. After tests, doctors determined that several holes had formed in her intestines. The family claims that doctors attributed the worsening condition to her long-term consumption of fast food.

According to family members, the operation was performed due to her serious condition. She was discharged within ten days, but even after returning home, Ahana's weakness continued to worsen, and she began having difficulty performing normal activities.

Heart failure during treatment at AIIMS, death:

Four days ago, when her health deteriorated again, the family took her to Delhi AIIMS. There, there was some improvement during treatment and she started walking, which gave hope to the family. But on Sunday night, her condition suddenly deteriorated and according to the family, she died due to heart failure. Ahana's maternal uncle Gulzar Khan alias Guddu said that doctors have said that fast food is the main reason behind the deteriorating condition of the intestines. The untimely death of the promising student has created chaos in the family and there is a wave of mourning in the area.
