BJP councillor Manjit Singh Titu’s nephew’s son shoots himself in Jalandhar, condition critical

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident has come to light from Ujala Nagar in the Bastiat area of Jalandhar, where the nephew’s son of BJP councillor Manjit Singh Titu allegedly shot himself. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where doctors have described his condition as extremely critical.

Returned from Bengaluru, incident occurred suddenly

Sharing details, Manjit Singh Titu said that his nephew’s son was associated with the footwear business. Due to recent business-related difficulties, he had gone to Bengaluru from home. He returned to Jalandhar only yesterday and appeared normal. However, on Wednesday, he allegedly used his father’s licensed pistol to shoot himself.

Police investigation underway

The youth is currently undergoing treatment, while the police have launched an investigation. Authorities are examining all aspects related to the incident to ascertain the circumstances leading to the shooting.
