Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): A hearing was held in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on the petition filed by Shiromani Akali Dal’s senior leader and former Cabinet Minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia, challenging the remand order passed by the Mohali district court. However, no significant proceedings took place today, and the court adjourned the hearing until July 8, 2025.

During the hearing, the Advocate General (AG) of Punjab argued that Majithia had challenged the Mohali court’s order dated June 26, 2025, which has now become irrelevant since fresh summons have been issued thereafter. Following this, the court asked Majithia’s lawyer to file an amended petition.
