Out-of-control car in Ludhiana rams bike after crossing divider, two dead, one critical

Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu): A horrific road accident occurred on Friday morning on the elevated road built on Ferozepur Road. The havoc of high speed was so severe that an uncontrolled Swift car hit the divider and fell on the other side and hit a passing motorcycle. In this tragic accident, the bike rider, 42-year-old courier boy Jagdish Kumar, and the car driver, journalism student Gauransh, died on the spot. Meanwhile, the other youth in the car, Charanjot, was seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at DMC Hospital.


The death of a father returning after dropping his children off at school has caused chaos in the family.

It is being told that three young men were travelling in a Swift car and were on their way to college in the morning. While going from Bharat Nagar Chowk towards Tharike, the car suddenly went out of control in front of Gadvasu Veterinary Hospital. On the other hand, Jagdish Kumar, who was riding a motorcycle, was returning home after dropping his two children to school. Jagdish worked as a courier boy in a company and was the only earning member of his family. His sudden death has left his wife and children without a father. On the other hand, the father of the deceased student Gauransh owns a factory and his mother is a housewife. After this incident, both the families are in a bad state, crying.


When the police did not arrive, the local people took him to the hospital.

Immediately after the accident, the bike rider, Jagdish, was thrown onto the road by the severe car impact and suffered serious injuries. People present at the scene tried to free him and the other boys trapped in the car. Gauransh and Charanjot, who were sitting in the front seat of the car, suffered the most injuries. People immediately reported the accident to the police, but when the police did not arrive for a long time, local residents themselves took the three injured to DMC Hospital. Doctors declared Gauransh and Jagdish dead upon arrival. The bodies of both have been kept in the mortuary and will be sent to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem. Currently, the police have registered a case and begun further investigation.
