Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The Punjab government is preparing to call a special session of the Assembly. According to the information, the government can call a special session of the Assembly on 10 and 11 July 2025.
CM Bhagwant Mann has also called a cabinet meeting at his house on July 7 at 10:30 am. It is being told that decisions can be taken on two major issues in this meeting, among them a strict law against sacrilege, that is, a law will be brought which will give strict punishment for insulting religious texts and faith.
Apart from this, strict action can be taken against drug smuggling. More stringent decisions can be taken to stop drug abuse. According to information, in the next phase of the 'Drug Free Punjab' campaign in Punjab, strict rules can be brought in the law to open de-addiction clinics, focus on rehabilitation and stop drug smuggling.
