New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer, who was seriously injured during the Australia tour, is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital and is recovering. Iyer was injured while fielding during the third ODI against Australia and was immediately admitted to the hospital. According to reports, he suffered a deep rib injury and internal bleeding. However, his condition is now stable and he is recovering rapidly under the supervision of the BCCI medical team.

He wrote that he is slowly recovering and is feeling better every day. Iyer expressed his gratitude to his fans and well-wishers and said that the prayers and support he has received means a lot to him. Iyer was part of the recently concluded three-match ODI series between India and Australia. Australia took the lead in the series by winning the first two matches, while India won the third and final match. It was during this match that Shreyas Iyer suffered his injury.
In the third ODI played in Sydney, he attempted a difficult catch off Alex Carey off Harshit Rana, but suffered a serious injury to his lower left rib. He was initially taken off the field by a physiotherapist, but after his condition deteriorated, he was taken to the hospital. Investigations revealed that the spleen injury had caused internal bleeding, requiring him to be admitted to the ICU. Currently, Shreyas Iyer is out of the ICU and recovering rapidly. The BCCI medical team stated that he is completely out of danger and his condition is expected to improve further in the coming weeks.
