Family tragedy on Bundelkhand expressway: 4 killed including 3 sons, in fog-related crash

Hamirpur (The Uttam Hindu) : Dense fog on the Bundelkhand Expressway caused a horrific road accident, killing four members of a family. The deceased included three sons who were traveling from Gudi village to Prayagraj with their mother's ashes. The accident occurred when their Bolero vehicle collided from behind with a double-decker sleeper bus traveling ahead.

According to eyewitnesses, the fog was so dense that nothing was visible on the road ahead. The impact of the collision was so severe that three people in the Bolero died on the spot, while another died on the way to the hospital. Four others were seriously injured in the accident.

The injured were immediately admitted to the Community Health Center (CHC) Maudaha, where, after receiving first aid, they were referred to Kanpur due to their critical condition. Traffic on the expressway was also disrupted for some time following the accident.

Another accident in Hamirpur, two trucks collide

Meanwhile, another road accident has occurred in Hamirpur district. Two trucks collided head-on near Harihar College under Sumerpur police station area. One truck driver was seriously injured in this accident and has been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. After the continuous accidents, the police have appealed to the drivers to be cautious and drive at a controlled speed during dense fog.
