According to health experts, these symptoms may indicate Anemia, a condition caused by a lack of healthy red blood cells. It can affect both physical and mental development in children. With timely diagnosis and proper nutrition, it can be effectively managed.
Experts advise that parents should ensure a varied and balanced diet. If a child experiences constant fatigue or loss of appetite, medical consultation is necessary. A blood test can confirm anemia, and doctors may prescribe iron supplements if needed.
As per the National Health Mission, anemia can seriously impact a child’s growth if left untreated. It is mainly caused by iron deficiency, which reduces the blood’s ability to carry oxygen. This leads to symptoms like weakness, fatigue, and poor appetite. If not addressed in time, it may hinder development and affect academic performance.

Include green leafy vegetables like spinach, fenugreek, and mustard greens

Include milk products like milk, curd, and paneer
Natural sources like jaggery can also help boost iron levels
